Springer Nature research

This work shed light on an important, but often overlooked impact of HD; 60% of assessed early-stage patients showed muscle loss and over half were at risk of malnutrition or already malnourished.

As time goes on, the field is understanding more and more about this devastating disease and its impact on patients. At Harness, we are looking to address HD at its root cause by slowing somatic CAG expansion, aiming to halt disease progression before it takes hold.
